William E. Simpson has over 30 years of litigation consulting experience, specializing in the determination of damages and in the investigation of accounting irregularities. Mr. Simpson has testified on more than 50 occasions regarding accounting, auditing, business, and statistical issues in both federal and state courts and arbitration proceedings.
Mr. Simpson was the managing partner of Simpson LLP, a firm of certified public accountants specializing in litigation services based in Los Angeles. Before forming Simpson LLP, Mr. Simpson was partner in charge of the litigation services practice for the West Region of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), an audit partner with Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young), and a national director at Alexander Grant (now Grant Thornton). He was also regional chief accountant for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and an examiner with the California Department of Savings and Loan. Additionally, Mr. Simpson has served on an advisory committee to the National Commission of Fraudulent Financial Reporting.
Mr. Simpson has been a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant, and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
